BSc (Built Environment)
Hello, I am Kjeld Merijn Witsiers. I am an engineer and aspiring architectural designer with a strong interest in purposeful and enduring design. My background in building engineering shapes how I think about space, material and construction. I approach every project through both logic and intuition, where function and experience form the foundation of the architectural language.
I believe good architecture begins with clarity. Every line, material choice and structural decision should have a reason. I am drawn to designs where structure is expressed honestly and where form emerges from function rather than decoration.
My design process starts with understanding context and constraints. I analyse structure, circulation and material logic before shaping the spatial concept. This structured foundation allows creativity to develop with intention and precision.
My ambition to become an architect grew from a fascination with how structures not only stand, but shape the way we live and move. Over time, I realised that I was not only interested in how buildings are made, but in what they mean to the people who use them.
Looking ahead, I aim to further develop an architectural language that balances strength and refinement, combining structural clarity with spaces that leave a meaningful and lasting impression.
